Interesting... its build seems to be a mix of Zaku I and II, with some added beefiness from the Gouf.

Are these the original design and proportions or did you change something?
It gives off a strangely 'modern' feel.. Love it btw

Made based on my mental image of Zaku, because i somehow always imagine them as a monstrous ogre look alike mech

Zaku II remains one of my absolute fave mecha in the Gundam universe, and is arguably as/more recognizable than Gundam istelf. This, and the Gouf, like i said, are my faves. I really only like the Gouf because of Norris in 08th MS team haha.

great work!

I really like mass-production suits, more than the "weapon of mass-destruction" Gundams (although ones like Victory, which are semi-mass-producable are pretty cool too). The thing I like about the Zaku II is that it stays a workhorse long after its technological hay day. Also that there were several pilots that had their own custom variants, often more than just a new paint scheme.

I also really like the Dom (also from Mobile Suit Gundam) and Gelgoog, because they are high-mobility, but still well protected, learning obvious lessons from the successes and failures of the Zaku series MS's. The federation's Gundam outperfroms anything the Zeon can throw at it, single-handedly fueling an arms race of epic scale and scope.

I know the Zeon are a direct (and obvious) analog for Nazi Germany, but I like their tech better than the fed stuff. Plus, they do weird things like make aquatic MS's, and the idea of the Mobile Armor.

long rant... sorry

I agree with ya buddy, but not all of Zeon were Nazi's, just those loyal to Gihren.

Also, I believe a Zaku, Gouf and Dom carries a much larger fear factor than a GM. When you see a Zaku, or any suit like it, glare at you with that Omni-eye of theirs, you can easily get a small sense of fear from them. Not to mention their overal appearance, with their spiked shoulder(s), and hulking appearance can easily intimidate enemies.

To make things short, if I were in the Universal Century, I would be piloting a Zeon Mobile Suit, even if I wasn't with Zeon...thought I'd probably join Neo Zeon with Char! SIEG NEO-ZEON! :D

I actually just watched Zeta Gundam for the first time not long ago. I was really impressed with it! I was surprised to see the A.E.U.G forces being opposed to "the federation" under the banner of Titans, and that Titans' mobile suits were more like the Zeonic style.
Plus the ending (though rushed like in every gundam series almost) was really satisfying but sad. All the key players had their loose ends shored up in a way that is really uncommon in modern anime.

Ya, well some of that is fixed in ZZ and CCA.
